IMPACT OF JET APPARATUS.
The unit consists of a closed box with Perspex front and back,
inside which the nozzle and the vanes are fitted vane is mounted on
a leaver which is provided with initial balancing weight and sliding
weight for balancing the impact force. the jet is clearly visible through
the perspex sheet. Apparatus is useful for demonstration of force exerted by impact of jet on a vane & comparison of theoretical force &
actual force Can also be made.Nozzle—Brass—2 nos.
Vanes - Brass - flat hemispherical.

STUDY OF PRESSURE MEASUREMENT DEVICES
A water flow pipe, an orifice is fitted to creat pressure difference.
Various pressure measurement devices are fitted for good insight of
the devices. pressure gauge, Vacuum gauge
( not for conventional type model ) U-tube manometer, differential ,
single tube, inclined manometer.

STUDY OF FREE AND FORCED VORTEX
To observe, forced vortex at different speed, A transparent cylinder
mounted on rotatable base plate. Water is directed tangentially in
the cylinder. Free vortex is formed, to plot the water surface profile
pointer tracer With scale is provided. The cylinder can be rotated
with the help of small motor, so that , forced vortex is formed.

FLOW VISUALISATION APPARATUS
The unit consist of a flow bed provided with transparent cover, water
flows below the cover. Dye tapping are provided on upstream side of
bed which indicate the stremlines. The arrangement is provided to
insert the various models ( i.e obstacles) in the flow. Flow is disturbed
due to obstacles and flow pattern around the obstacles can be observed.

FLOW THROUGH ORIFICE & MOUTHPIECE
To determine Cd, Cc, & Cv, of orifice as well as Cd of mouthpiece.
A supply tank to which orifice or mouthpiece fitted. Tank with flow
settling arrangement. A tracer pointer to demonstrate & determine
x-y Co-ordinates of jet. Arrangement is provided to vary and measure
the head over orifice or mouthpiece.

METACENTRIC HEIGHT OF SHIP 12150
To study metacentric height a small ship model, floting in water.
Ship model is provided with a horizantal guide bar over which a small
weight can be slide. Displacement of weight is measured. A plumb
attached at the center of ship. Then weight measures angle of tilt and metacentric height of ship can studied.

TILTING FLUME APPARATUS
To study open channel flow, specific energy curve, hydraulic jump,
calibration of weirs, notches and venturi flume. Bed slopes from
1 in 25 in up stream to 1 in 5 on down stream flume is with gates
on upstream and down stream side to control the flow .
