To determine BHP, IHP, mechanical & thermal efficiencies, air fuel ratio, specific fuel consumption & heat balance sheet at various loads. A four stroke diesel engine coupled to a rope brake or electrical dynamometers a water cooled brake drum, spring balances, comprises rope brake, for electrical dynamometer 
water rheostat used as loading arrangements. The Unit is with rope, electrical or hydraulic dynamometer.

Engine ‘Premier' or ‘Hindustan' make automotive petrol engine old or brand new. 4 stroke 4 cylinder, water cooled, developing 20 BHP at 3000 rpm provided with battery & self  starter arrangement to cut off the Ignition to conduct morse test with rope brake, electrical or hydraulic dynamometer.

To determine volumetric efficiency and isothermal efficiency at various discharge pressure. Single stage air compressor fitted with air tank & orifice, pressure gauge and an energymeter to measure input. Temp. indicator measures the various temp. compressor mounted on air receiver with motor and air relief valve & pressure switch.
